Just in time for back to Hogwarts 2026, LEGO has officially revealed the Harry Potter 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle, a brand-new microscale model of the Wizarding World’s most iconic landmark.
Launching on 29 August 2026, the 700-piece set arrives as part of LEGO’s annual ‘Back to Hogwarts’ celebration, which takes place just before 1 September – the day young witches and wizards board the Hogwarts Express for another magical school year.
Designed as a compact display piece, 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle captures the unmistakable silhouette of Hogwarts in microscale form. It’s an ideal option for fans who don’t have room for one of the larger castle models, or for anyone looking for an affordable way to add a little magic to their collection.
At just £34.99 in the UK, it also offers a much more accessible alternative to the impressive but considerably larger LEGO Harry Potter 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds, making it an attractive entry point for newer collectors or those building on a budget.

But do we really need another Hogwarts?
If we’re being honest, Hogwarts has been recreated… a lot.
From microscale castles and modular classrooms to towering collector editions, LEGO has returned to the famous school countless times over the years. While Hogwarts will always be the centrepiece of the Harry Potter LEGO theme, it would be great to see LEGO explore more memorable locations and scenes from the films that have yet to receive the brick-built treatment.
Imagine detailed sets based on the Quidditch World Cup campsite, Shell Cottage, or even a full version of Godric’s Hollow. The Harry Potter universe is packed with iconic moments beyond the castle walls, and there’s still plenty of untapped potential.
That said, it’s hard to argue with the value on offer here. At £34.99, 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle is an affordable display piece that captures the magic of Hogwarts without requiring the shelf space – or the budget of the larger castle models. For newer fans, casual collectors, or anyone looking for a magical desk display, this could prove to be one of the best-value Harry Potter releases of the year.
