If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to add a particular set to your collection, this might be your final warning. Nearly 20 LEGO Harry Potter sets are currently scheduled to retire during 2026, including one of the most important Hogwarts models ever released.

Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall is nearly gone
The biggest retirement news is undoubtedly 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall.
As the centrepiece of LEGO’s current modular Hogwarts Castle system, almost every other castle expansion connects directly to it. Without the Great Hall, completing the “most detailed Hogwarts ever” becomes much more difficult.
Currently scheduled to retire by 31 July 2026, this could be your last opportunity to buy it at retail price.
Once it’s retired, your only options will be the second-hand market… unless you’ve got a Time-Turner tucked away somewhere.
Big collector sets are also disappearing
It’s not just Hogwarts saying goodbye.

While nobody can predict the aftermarket perfectly, history suggests these sets could become particularly sought after once retired:

Remember: retirement dates can change
LEGO retirement schedules aren’t set in stone. Sets can occasionally be extended – or, less commonly, retired earlier than expected if stock runs out.
If there’s a particular set on your wish list, it’s usually better not to leave it until the final weeks.
After all, it’s much nicer spending your Galleons at retail price than paying Gringotts-level premiums on the secondary market.
